Lucy sometimes asks me if I miss America. Mostly I miss not being near the Boys Grandparents and Uncles and Aunts and Cousins. A small thing that I do miss this time of year is the Christmas TV specials. Here in England TV isn't particularly linked to celebrating the Holidays. |

But I sure do miss My favorite animated specials--Peanuts Christmas. I alwas get teary-eyed when Linus says, "This Christmas Tree is alright Charlie Brown, it just needs a little love (right before bringing the tree to life by putting his blanket around it and a few decorations), I also like the Little Drummer Boy and of course, The Grinch who Stole Christmas. I even like watching Frostie the Snowman and Rudolf and The Year Without a Santa Clause. It's all part of my memories of growing up and getting into the festive spirit! |

Have I said what we're doing for Christmas? We're hosting a student from Mainland China (Names Rachel, who sent Simon a birthday card via the internet, for the Christmas Holidays. Lucy ordered our free range turkey today! Just doesn't seem like Christmas unless the house is as full as possible! Read Our Annual Christmas Letter if you want to see any more. I'm enjoying making Simon's Christmas stocking this year. I've got a "3D" snowman with a hat (Lucy says I should make it 3D to match as well--but we'll see) who's running. I'll put a football (soccer ball for you Americans) in front of him because Simon seems to like playing with balls loads. Today is Simon's first day to ride his tricycle to Danny's school. Danny rides his bike and Lucy used to puch Simon in the stroller, but he's getting big enough and good enough on his tricycle over the weekend to give him a try. (Lucy sure does have a lot of patience!). |
