1.) Image Module
The basic Drupal module, together with Image Assist.

:|: Pros

* Very integrated with Drupal; so easy to insert images into regular entries
* Easy to upload (one at a time)
* Sidebar integration (”Random Photo”)

:|: Cons

* No multiple upload (coming in 4.7)
* No auto-resize on upload and delete original image (there’s a fix, but it doesn’t work yet in 4.6.3, maybe 4.7)

2.) Acidfree
Multimedia module (photos, videos, etc.)

:|: Pros

* Easy upload
* Multiple photo upload
* Upload via webserver (existing photos in a folder on a/your site)
* Nice-looking galleries
* Easy thumbnail and “medium size” image resizing on server
* Nice sidebar integration (”Random Photo”)

:|: Cons

* No auto-resize on upload and delete original image

3.) Gallery2
High-powered gallery program; integrated with Drupal via a module; not exactly seamless integration (e.g. themes) yet, but probably coming soon;

:|: Pros

* Extremely easy to manage albums and photos
* Extremely easy to upload (single, multiple, via Win XP)

:|: Cons

* Not as integrated in Drupal yet (e.g. don’t know how to put image into a regular entry)
* Themes can conflict (until new themes come out that are better integrated)
